ABOUT
I made the first shawl for the mother of one my own officers in December of 2014. Cpl. Jamel Clagett, AP447, was killed in a single vehicle accident on his way home from night shift, just minutes after delivering breakfast for my fellow dispatchers. The second shawl went to the mother of Ofc Jacai Colson from our neighbors at Prince George's County Police Department. Ofc Colson was killed during an attack on their police station in March of 2016. Since then, it has been my goal to get a shawl into the hands of every wife and/or mother of every officer killed in the line of duty, no matter where they are in the United States. I am a dispatcher, I come from a police family, and I will always have their back.
